Collaboration agreement between grupo Edebé and SK Telecom to promote robotics in the classroom

Grupo Edebé and the leading mobile telephony company in South Korea SK Telecom have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting Robotics and Technology projects in the classroom to respond to the great challenges of the school.

With this agreement edebé wants to respond to the growing demand of the educational community in the field of new methodologies and technologies by establishing strategic alliances with different agents. The bet for robotics projects, platforms for the work of the PBL, virtual assistants are some of the proposals offered by our group to address diversity and management in the classroom.

At the meeting, Yong Chul Yoon said that «education is one of the company’s great bets» and that he wishes this «to be the beginning of a significant collaboration with this great Spanish publishing group»

For his part, Antonio Garrido indicated that «this agreement with SK Telecom is a great alliance that will allow sharing experiences, the know-how of both companies and that the edebé catalogue will be enriched with state-of-the-art innovation products».

In his speech, Fran Farrés, distributor of the Korean company in Spain, has also appealed «to the connection between Spain and South Korea, and the great contributions that the two countries can make to the education of young people».

Aware of the importance of robotics in the learning of digital natives and STEAM studios, this collaborative alliance is part of the strategic line of grupo edebé to accompany the digital transformation of the school.

Albert UO

«Albert UO» is one of the robots that SK Telecom manufactures and it will be the device with which the edebé Primary Education robotics notebooks of the next academic year will be worked, with interactive computer thinking activities. Thanks to its proximity sensors, its acceleration axes, its speakers, and with proposals for challenging situations, the objective will be to motivate the student with the robot to overcome small problems in the areas of mathematics, language, social science, natural science, music and art.

The agreement means for grupo edebé to continue betting on digital and methodological innovation and to be at the forefront of education in Spain and Latin America.
